Forest clans settle beneath the darkest parts of the Emberwood canopy, where their umber coats fade almost completely into the shadow of the fir trunks. Their crowns branch wide and flat, an adaptation that lets rain run harmlessly off the antler rather than pooling in the tines the way it does on narrower crown shapes.

Because so little light reaches the forest floor, Forest Radrians rely heavily on scent and hearing over sight, and their szałasy shelters are built low and half-buried into natural hollows between roots. Clans here are the largest and most stable of any subspecies, sometimes holding the same territory for well over a century.
